How to use our Candles
Our candles come in a range of gorgeously glam vessels and are a beautiful statement piece for your home but if used incorrectly, could end up with you missing out on half the candle's wax and scent.
How to use your candle
Before you light your candle, you must make sure that it is in a safe place - out of reach from children and pets, on a safe heat resistant surface with at least one meter (3 feet) between the candle and the surface above it and away from drafts.
Once lit, please do not move your candle and always make sure that you leave your candle to burn until a full pool of wax has liquefied (rim to rim). If you don't you will become victim of an ugly tunnel effect - wasting wax and scent for the rest of your candle.
Once you have lit your candle you probably won't want to put it out, however it is really important to never burn it for more than 4 hours at a time. Anything more than this and the glass vessel could over heat and shatter.
The number one rule of wax safety is never leave a burning candle unattended!
How to keep your candle at its best
To keep your candle burning well and to avoid black smoky marks, you need to keep your wicks trimmed. Before each and every use of your candle, use long scissors, nail clippers or an actual wick trimmer and trim your wick between 1/8 and 1/4 inches long. Get into the habit of doing this every time before you light up and your candle will thank you!
Should you end up with some of those nasty black marks on the inside glass of your candle, do not fret. When the candle is extinguished and cool, simply wipe around the inside with a damp cotton pad and viola - back to beautiful!
How to store your candle
Our candles all come with a pretty glam lid and there is a reason for this! It is to keep the fragrance in and the dust out when they are not being used. After putting your candle out, let the smoke disperse and the candle cool down before popping the lid on until you next light up.
Always store your candle in a cool, dry place and away from direct sunlight. Doing this will help to maintain the colour and fragrance of your candle.
