Our reed diffusers are a great flame-less alternative to wax melts and candles, look fabulous and come in a wide range of scents.

What are Reed Diffusers?

Reed Diffusers are a popular and practical way to add constant fragrance to any room, without the use of heat or flame.

Reed Diffusers deliver fragrance using a wick system: reeds or sticks are placed into a jar or bottle of fragranced liquid. The reeds soak up the oil, then disperse the scent into the air.

Reed Diffusers are perfect for those with pets or small children who do not want a naked flame around and still want their home to smell good. Another benefit of Reed Diffusers is that they constantly throw scent, as opposed to candles and wax melts which need to be lit or melted.

How to use Reed Diffusers

When you receive your diffuser, it will arrive as a pink bottle with scented liquid inside and separate sticks. The top of the bottle will have a plug stopper to prevent leaking on delivery. Carefully remove the stopper and insert your reed sticks into the bottle to allow them to soak up the fragrance. After a couple of hours, flip your reeds to ensure the fragrance is evenly distributed.

Put your reed diffuser in your favourite place, sit back and enjoy the fragrance released into your home. You could try putting a tropical, beachy scent in your bathroom for a serene setting or having designer perfume inspired diffusers for a fancy smell in your bedroom.

How long do Reed Diffusers last?

Glam Wax's reed diffusers and refills last approximately two months. During this time you will need to aim to flip your sticks every fortnight to keep the scent strong.

How long the fragrance lasts can depend on your individual environment, as well as the reed diffuser you are using.

Heating, air conditioning, dehumidifiers and room temperature can all have an effect. Keep away from direct sunlight and radiators to prolong the scent release.

If you are using Glam Wax Reed Diffuser Refill, but not our Reed Diffuser and Reeds, please be aware that thicker reeds absorb more oil and diffuse more fragrance but consequently will not last as long.

Do I need new reeds if using a new fragrance?

The great thing about diffusers is that they can be topped up and reused again and again. If you'd like to try a new fragrance in your diffuser bottle we offer refills

It is important you use new diffuser sticks when using a new scent. This is because your existing reeds will be soaked in the old fragrance, meaning you would compromise the new fragrance. Luckily we have the reeds ready to purchase so you can easily pop a new set on to your next Glam Wax order.

My reed diffuser doesn't smell as strong anymore

This may be because the reeds need to soak up and re-disperse the fragrance oil so try giving them a flip. Sometimes repositioning the reeds or giving the bottle a gentle swirl can help bind the carrier liquid with the fragrance.

Over time reeds can become over saturated and clogged. If you still have liquid in your bottle, have flipped your reeds and given the bottle a gentle nudge and are still struggling with scent throw it may be time to change your reed sticks.

How to care for your Reed Diffuser

We would suggest keeping your diffuser away from direct sunlight, as this will dull the colour over time and make sure to have your diffuser placed somewhere it cannot easily be knocked (we don't want you wasting any of that precious liquid).

Please keep your diffuser away from children, pets and flames at all time. Never put the diffuser liquid into a tealight or electrical burner.
